When the body is properly aligned and balanced, the force of gravity can flow through it, leading to improved function, ease of movement, and even self-healing” - Ida Rolf

Rolfing Structural Integration, is named after its founder Ida Rolf.

The principles are that the body’s relation with gravity and proper alignment can help the body improve it’s function and well-being. The body as a net of connective tissues that are wrapping, supporting and providing structure for bones, organs, muscles and nerves.

The work is done during 10 Sessions (about 1h30), where different areas of the body are gonna be visit through manual intervention. The goal is to create clarity and awareness to body parts that are less present, almost as remapping the body in the brain and nervous system. Clarifying and differentiating structures will help the body organize and recognize new postural patterns versus old ones.

Combine with functional movement at the end of the sessions will help to enhance embodiment and eventually propose the body a easier, effortless place to live in and to move through space.

“Put it where it belongs and ask for movement” - Ida Rolf
